Summer of Theory

Welcome to the second annual Experimental Theory Experiments Symposium. Building on last year’s symposium, this year’s symposium will focus on the themes of improvisation and play. Presenters were asked to do two things: to play with concepts, theories and projects in ways that they normally wouldn’t in an academic setting; to explore how they might focus on the form of their presentation, not just its content.

Check out the exciting line-up of participants.

The Symposium will take place on Saturday June 8th, from 9:30 to 4:30 at the Victoria Event Centre, located at 1415 Broad Street. In the evening, the event will continue with a concert and poetry, to be held at the Ministry of Casual Living.

Here is the Symposium Schedule.

This event is organized and sponsored by the UVic Cultural, Social and Political Thought program (CSPT), an interdisciplinary graduate program in theory. For more information: https://www.uvic.ca/interdisciplinary/cspt/
